Professional Training Associates of North Carolina, LLC, was formed by three
professional educators in 2000. PTANC's mission is to provide quality
educational materials for those preparing for professional licensing exams,
and for practicing industry professionals.
Professor Davenport is a retired Surveying and Civil Engineering Technology
Educator and author. He is President of Polaris Training Associates, and has
provided numerous professional development seminars all across the
United States. He is a member of the North Carolina Society of Surveyors,
and the American Society of Civil Engineers. Professor Davenport holds both
a Bachelors and Masters degree in Civil Engineering.
Professor Spitler is currently the Coordinator of both the Civil Engineering
Technology and Surveying Technology programs at Sandhills Community
College, in Pinehurst, NC. He is President of ProFES Training Associates,
and has provided numerous professional development seminars in North
Carolina and Virginia. His professional background includes positions as a
Project Engineer, Project Superintendent, and Project Surveyor in the heavy
highway construction industry. He is a member of the North Carolina Society
of Surveyors. Professor Spitler holds a Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering
Technology from UNC Charlotte, an Associate in Applied Science degree in
Civil Engineering Technology from Sandhills Community College in
Pinehurst, NC, and an Associate in Applied Science degree in Electronics
Engineering Technology from Central Carolina Community College in
Sanford, NC.
Professor Anderson is the Webmaster and Coordinator of Internet
Technologies at Sandhills Community College, Pinehurst, NC. He has
taught desktop computer applications, operating systems, programming,
hardware, and networking for over 20 years. He created and maintains the
well regarded Sandhills Community College and Internet Resources web
sites.
